Our Mission
Our mission is to provide quality health care which recognizes the inherent human worth and dignity of all persons. To provide a medical model health care center services, to provide a healing environment where nurses and staff work together to provide personalized care to be the best in advocating, high quality nursing and therapeutic services to the clients who attend, to operate in an ethically and fiscally responsible while keeping the interests of our clients in mind at all times.
Our caring staff are dedicated people who love being able to help others. We chose staff who have the patience, compassion, and understanding to provide these essential services to our participants. They help our center create the home like atmosphere we strive hard to maintain.
Our staff become like extended family to our participants and to each other. They are very knowledgeable of and in tune with our participants needs and wants. Their creativity and enthusiastic attitudes help encourage and uplift our participants as well as anyone near them.
We offer a variety of scheduled programs and activities to choose from. They are created to be specific for the participants functional level, care plan, age, and preferences. Just a few of the services we offer are as follows.

Administration of Medication and Treatments per physician's orders.

Individual Disciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to create and update the Person Centered Plan of Care
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living and Health needs which enhances the participants quality of life.
Assist participants with scheduling medical appointments and transportation.
Education on participants various health, safety, nutrition, emotional, and medical issues.

What is an Adult Day Health Care and
How is Friends and Family ADHC any different?
Basically, an Adult Day Health Care facility is a community based program that provides comprehensive health care services as well as socialization opportunities for the participants. Clear as mud yet?
The State of Kentucky only requires the medical team to be a nurse that is supervised by an RN.
The activities that are required are those that provide basic assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Independent Acitivities of Daily Living (IADLs). Which is assistance with bathing, grooming, laundry, etc, basically activities that are needed to survive and function adequately.
However, at Friends and Family we decided to not only meet all the requirement but go beyond them. We have a Medical Director who is a well known Doctor in our community, we have a Nursing Instructor who is our Director of Nursing as well as our more than qualified nursing staff. Our Direct Care Professionals are overly qualified and not only provide compassionate care to all of our participates but maintain small businesses in the communities. We have a photographer, a chef, professional hairstylist and much much more, the best part is they offer their services to all of our participants to no cost to the participants.
We encourage communication with all who is involved in our participant's care, therefore we have IDG meetings once a month. You can read more about the IDG meeting on our HOME page. The programs, therapies and activities we provide, not only meets Ky standards but goes so much farther beyond.
